What We Offer You

The National Center was founded to encourage individuals and families to create and sustain a philanthropic mission. Three principles guided this development.

  • First, there is value in the personal involvement of the donor and family in organized philanthropy.

  • Second, the National Center recognizes that donors have a variety of giving vehicles from which to choose.

  • Finally, while we seek to provide leadership in the field, we also seek to be a respectful partner to colleague organizations and want to support their efforts on behalf of family giving whenever possible.

The National Center understands the special personal nature and professional issues of family philanthropy—including the critical moments in developing and sustaining a giving program. This understanding informs a broad range of programs and direct assistance as well as an appreciation for the best advice available in the field.
