Virginia Esposito is the founding President of the National Center for
Family Philanthropy. Ginny writes and speaks on a broad variety of
topics promoting philanthropic values, vision, and excellence across
generations of donor families. She served as the editor of Splendid
Legacy: The Guide to Creating Your Family Foundation, and editor of
The Family Foundation Library. In addition to her work on
resources for family donors, Ginny edited Conscience & Community: The
Legacy of Paul Ylvisaker, a volume of writings and speeches of the
late Paul Ylvisaker, foundation trustee, educator, and former dean of
the Graduate School of Education at Harvard University.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Better Business
Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance; on the Independent Sector's Ethics and
Accountability Committee, and on the Advisory Committee and Executive
Team of New Ventures in Philanthropy, a project of the Forum of Regional
Associations of Grantmakers, that encourages new philanthropy.
A former Vice President of the Council on Foundations, Ginny served as
founder of the Council's Program on Family Philanthropy, a three-year
effort to build a base of support services for philanthropic families
and advisors.

Tina Dokken joined the National
Center in February 2008 to enhance the organization’s governance and
development efforts. Before joining the National Center, she worked for
more than 15 years at the Council on Foundations, where she provided
technical assistance to grantmakers and helped with the development of
Stewardship Principles for Family Foundations. Tina’s experience
includes volunteer and project management as well as membership
marketing and development. Tina received her undergraduate degree from
the University of Virginia.
Maureen McGowan Esposito

Maureen joined the staff in 2004 to
develop and strengthen the Friends of the Family program. Previously she
worked at the Council on Foundations for several years as a program
coordinator for corporate donors and regional associations services. Her
work there included program development, workshop coordination,
publications development, and staffing of the corporate and regional
association committees. Maureen managed the publication of The Corporate
Contributions Handbook by James P. Shannon. In addition, Maureen worked
on the Annual Conference at the Council, providing support in all areas,
including: program content, hotel logistics, registration, and on-site
support. Maureen has also performed special consulting projects for the
Forum of Regional Associations, assisting in publications review and
information gathering. Maureen holds a degree in Business Administration
from Marymount University.
Allison Feasel

Allison joined the National Center in January 2007 to expand and deepen
the organization’s marketing efforts. Allison’s background includes
membership, marketing, and web development work for two nonprofit
associations in the Washington, DC area. Allison received her bachelor’s
degree in Political Science from Slippery Rock University and her
master's degree in Organizational Management from Spring Arbor
University.
Christine Hoch

Christine Hoch joined the staff in March 2008. She is responsible for
finance, administration, and development. Prior to working at the
National Center, she was the Executive Director of the Autism Society of
America – Northern VA Chapter. Christine also worked for 9 years at the
National Safety Council’s Environmental Health Center in development,
finance, and program management. She founded the Prince William Autism
Support Group and continues to volunteer with the Walk for Autism – VA.
Christine has served on two non-profit boards in Northern Virginia. She
holds a bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Economics from
American University.
Sally Jones

On staff since 2001, Sally directs the National Center’s Friends of the
Family program. Prior to joining the National Center she worked as
business manager for two nonprofits, Witness for Peace and Tudor Place
Foundation. Previous to that she worked as financial manager in a family
leasing company. While living abroad, she was an active volunteer in the
local and official US community, including financial management of the
commissary at Embassy Rome, and assistance with earthquake relief in
Turkey. Sally participated in the inaugural class of Leadership America,
is active in the Junior League of Washington, and has served on
nonprofit boards in Fort Wayne, Indiana and the District of Columbia.
She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from
Indiana University.

As Program Coordinator, Kevin Laskowski
serves as Managing Editor of our e-newsletter Family Giving News
and Content Manager for FP Online. As Managing Editor, Kevin contributes
articles, profiles giving families, and compiles news and research from
around the nonprofit sector to inform and inspire more than 6,800
philanthropic professionals. As Content Manager for the Family
Philanthropy Online Knowledge Center he is responsible for developing
and maintaining resources for the leading information resource for
family philanthropies and those that work with them.
Susan C. Price

In June 2007, Susan Price came to
the National Center from her position as managing director of the Family
Foundation Services Department at the Council on Foundations.
Previously, she had an 18-year career as a freelance writer for
businesses, associations and the mass media. Her articles have appeared
in such publications as Working Mother, Family Life,
The Washington Post and Washingtonian, and on several
Internet sites.
She is the author of The Giving Family: Raising Our Children To Help
Others (Council on Foundations, 2001, revised 2003), and is a
frequent speaker to groups around the country on the subject of
instilling philanthropic values in children. Susan has been interviewed
about parenting issues on “Oprah,” “Today” and numerous other television
and radio broadcasts and by many newspapers and magazines. She has been
featured in articles about philanthropy in such publications as
Working Mother magazine, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution,
Minneapolis Star Tribune, and Chronicle of Philanthropy.
