Job Announcement: National Center for Family Philanthropy seeks Development Director

The National Center for Family Philanthropy, based in Washington, DC, seeks to hire its first Development Director. This is a unique opportunity for a development professional with experience in major gift cultivation and stewardship and who can build durable partnerships with donors committed to the growth of expertise in family philanthropy. The director will work with the President, staff, board and other volunteers to reach our fundraising goals and expand the Center’s base of support.
Qualified applicants will have the following:
- Demonstrated success in major gift fundraising from individuals and foundations
- Superior written and oral communication, negotiating, organizational, analytical and fundraising skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to relate to donors, volunteers and colleagues, and the ability to work as part of a small team
- Preferred: Knowledge of and keen interest in family philanthropy
