Bruce Maza
Executive Director of the C.E. and S. Foundation
Bruce Maza serves as the first non-family executive director of The C.E. & S. Fund which grants efforts in higher education, international relations, and urban environment in Louisville, Kentucky. He began his nonprofit career as assistant director of development at the New York City Opera at Lincoln Center, and later as director of development of the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego. He later joined the Lloyd E. Rigler and Lawrence E. Deutsch Foundation of Los Angeles as its first non-family program officer followed by the Indiana Grantmakers Alliance, where Maza became the first resident director of the Lilly Endowment’s GIFT Initiative, a now $500 million strategy to spur the growth of the community foundations in Indiana. Maza serves on the board of the National Center for Family Philanthropy, and serves on the Friends of the Family Advisory Committee, the Development Committee, and chairs the President’s Leadership Fund Task Force.
