This month we're delighted to feature two exciting events for young philanthropists offered by our colleagues at Nexus and Youth Philanthropy Connect.
The 4th annual Nexus Global Youth Summit on Innovative Philanthropy and Social Entrepreneurship will convene in New York City from July 23 to 26, 2014. Founded in 2011, Nexus is a global movement of 2000+ young people from over 70 countries working to increase and improve philanthropy and impact investing by bridging communities of wealth and social entrepreneurship. Participation is usually by invitation and application only but as a friend of NCFP special considerations are made. Please email Lauren Hasey Maher firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in participating. Already attending? Let us know! We look forward to seeing you there.
Youth Philanthropy Connect brings together philanthropic youth and junior boards and provides educational programs and peer networks that advance their involvement in philanthropy. The best philanthropy is achieved when each philanthropist is part of a greater web of support, involving family, peer colleagues, community supporters, and experts who listen and learn together to create greater, joint impact on the causes they care about. YPC’s 4th Annual conference will be held July 24-26, 2014, with sessions geared towards youth ages 8-21 and their adult advisors. Participants will connect with their peers, share models of youth engagement, learn best practices in philanthropy, and work collaboratively in a unique learning environment created for kids by kids! NCFP Vice President, Kathy Whelpley will be there to work with the adult participants. To see the conference brochure click here. For more information contact email@example.com.
