In the lives of young people, peers play a unique role in the development of habits, skills, and beliefs. But how do you connect with, and leverage, the right peer group?

1. Figure out what’s out there

There are tons of resources to help you identify the right peer group for you! You can search by area, issue, or identity.

2.  Attend an event or two

Lots of conferences have a newcomer’s reception where you can feel free to mingle and meet other folks who are just as new as you!

3. Make some calls

Reach out to your family members to make introductions to your local community foundation and grantee partners. You never know where a cup of coffee will lead…
