From Conflict to Connection: Intentional Communication in Family Philanthropy—Los Angeles Regional Convening

In partnership with SoCal Grantmakers, we invite you to join us and other Los Angeles-area family philanthropies on April 4 for a workshop on navigating conflict in family philanthropy.

Conflict is often particularly apparent in a family philanthropy context. While conflict is a natural part of any relationship, family philanthropies must manage it well to ensure internal issues are not a barrier to impact. Join this workshop to enhance your emotional agility and your capacity to manage conflict in your philanthropy.

Throughout the workshop, you will engage in the following activities:

• Identifying and discussing common conflicts that arise in family philanthropy.
• Acquiring insights into optimal approaches for engaging in generative preventing conflicts, addressing them as they arise, and navigating through them.
• Practicing intentional communication techniques with individuals with whom you have conflicts.

This in-person event will provide you with concrete tools for more effective family philanthropy and offer the opportunity to connect with other funders in your area.
