Lauren Webster

Chief Financial & Administrative Officer, Kenneth Rainin Foundation

Lauren Webster is the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer for the Kenneth Rainin Foundation. In her role on the executive and leadership teams, she focuses on promoting strategic growth and achieving greater impact while maintaining solid financial and operational systems.

Lauren has more than three decades of experience and extensive knowledge of the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors. Her career has centered on building and improving infrastructure to support organizations in achieving their missions. She has worked in a variety of national and local nonprofits engaged in public policy, education and other critical social issues. Before joining the Rainin Foundation, Lauren was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at PolicyLink, a national research and action institute advancing racial and economic equity. Prior to that she worked as the CFO of the Tides organizations (Tides Foundation, Tides Center and Tides Shared Spaces), where for 22 years she helped grow assets from $16 million to $250 million.

Lauren earned a certificate in accounting from Golden Gate University and has a BA in Political Science from DePauw University. She shares her expertise on audit, finance and investment committees for several private foundations and nonprofits.
