Rick Schneider is the senior vice president for advancement at the National Center for Family Philanthropy (NCFP). Rick leads development and marketing functions, ensuring NCFP has the resources needed to sustain its role as a resource for family philanthropists.
Rick started his career in broadcast news as a reporter and anchor and migrated to public media management, leading PBS stations in Reno and Miami and serving as COO of WETA in Washington, where his responsibilities included oversight of PBS NewsHour. He has been with NCFP since 2018.
Rick graduated from the University of Florida and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Born in Germany, he immigrated to the US as a child, grew up in Florida, and lives with his wife in Alexandria, Virginia. He loves to travel but is sticking to local hiking during the pandemic.
