We believe that family philanthropy is a critical lever for change. NCFP was founded in 1997 in response to the need for a national source of knowledge and expertise that advances the effectiveness of family philanthropy. Today, NCFP continues to provide resources and peer learning opportunities that position philanthropic families to make positive, meaningful differences in their communities.

We’re here to help you think through your options, ask the right questions, and connect with others who have been through the same process. We offer a We call on practitioners to be informed, intentional, and effective to realize the purpose and possibilities of positive social impact strategies. We’ll help you embrace proven solutions and our applied learning approach ensures families not only have information to inform decisions, but support as you take action.

Whether you’re a donor, board member, next-gen family member, CEO, or other staff member, we have the world’s largest collection of resources on family giving to help you navigate your philanthropic effort.
