We continually seek to ensure that the contributions of families are respected and understood in the greater philanthropic sector.

Investing in new research

For many years, NCFP has invested in cutting edge research designed to better understand the challenges, roles and opportunities of family philanthropy. Examples of unique research initiatives include Trends in Family Philanthropy (current), the CEO Leadership Guide Series, the Power to Produce Wonders, Pursuit of Excellence and Generations of Giving: Leadership and Continuity in Family Philanthropy.

OUR RESEARCH

The voice of family philanthropy

In celebration of its tenth anniversary, the National Center released, The Power to Produce Wonders: The Value of Family in Philanthropy, the first ever in-depth examination of the value of family philanthropy to the family, to communities and to democracy. The report identifies a number of the value-added characteristics of a family’s involvement in philanthropy, including passion, commitment, responsiveness and values.

The National Center is committed to sharing the success stories of the many donor families that are part of our international network.
