The trustees of the Cedarmere Foundation decided to spend down their endowment in order to invest in the capacity building of organizations and initiatives that sustain and strengthen the nonprofit sector in Washington State.

Since then, the foundation has focused on:

  • Investing in the development, support, and sustainability of nonprofit leadership
  • Sharing what is learned with philanthropic partners and nonprofit leaders to inspire future investments in capacity building

Join us for a conversation with Kathy Edwards, Board President, and Melanie Matthews, Executive Director, who will share what they learned during their spend down.

For those who would like to participate, we will have an additional 15 minutes of networking time at the end of the program.

If you are not yet a member of the Strategic Lifespan Peer Network, you may join here.
