Ray C. Anderson Foundation Plans to Sunset
The Atlanta-based, environmentally-focused foundation announced its plans to sunset operations by the end of 2030. Said Executive Director John Lanier, “For us, that decision as a family was very intentional, but it was not difficult. There was clear alignment that as a family, we wanted to lean in, not out, because the climate crisis demands it.”
James B. McClatchy Foundation Invests in Democracy
The foundation recently announced it is investing nearly $7MM for democracy in California’s Central Valley. “JBMF invests in the people who refuse to let democracy slip away. We’re not standing by to see what happens; we’re fighting back alongside our partners, knowing that the future belongs to those who build it now,” the foundation’s press release said.
Paul M. Angell Family Foundation Announces New Grantee Support
The foundation launched a $1MM rapid response fund to support its grantees and affirmed its commitment to the “belief that diversity is essential to building an effective organization.”
