Convenings

NCFP hosts the National Forum on Family Philanthropy every other year. The forum draws practitioners from around the world for three days of learning and networking.

In alternating years, we invite principals, board members, and CEOs to join our Family Philanthropy Leadership Retreat, which equips them with the tools they need to build their leadership skills in service of more effective family philanthropy.

2026 National Forum on Family Philanthropy

November 4–6, 2026
Philadelphia, PA

About

NCFP’s National Forum on Family Philanthropy is a conference for principals, board members, and senior staff leaders of family philanthropies. It is held every other year.

The forum brings philanthropic families and leaders together for three days of peer networking and thought-provoking conversations led by some of the most innovative thinkers and experts in family giving. With a mix of plenary and breakout sessions, the forum provides a space to discuss both tried-and-true practices and current trends in engaging and interactive formats.

Forum sessions feature the perspectives of funders, family members, and sector experts in an environment that fosters candid discussions.

Registration & Eligibility

Registration eligibility for the National Forum is intentionally limited to participants directly involved in a family philanthropy, as this allows us to create a space that fosters true peer-to-peer learning and connection. Forum registration is available to:

  • Board members of family philanthropies
  • CEO/Executive directors and other senior staff members of family philanthropies
