Rooted in NCFP’s Family Giving Lifecycle and the principles of effective family philanthropy, we have designed our programs to help you translate your intentions into action, no matter your level of experience or circumstance. NCFP programs and events will help you gain the knowledge and confidence you need to achieve your giving goals.
Upcoming Events
We offer monthly webinars that explore fundamental topics in family philanthropy, gather funders for regional events, and host small-group virtual sessions to equip funders with knowledge and connect them with a community of peers.
Webinars
NCFP regularly hosts webinars for its members and the field. Our signature series is our monthly Fundamentals of Family Philanthropy webinar series, which provides NCFP members with practical takeaways and examples from families operating at all points of the donor lifecycle—from identifying motivations and values to implementing governance practices, grantmaking, succession planning, and more.
Peer Networks
NCFP peer networks are groups of funders who share similar roles or interests, such as board chairs, BIPOC leaders, spend-down funders, and those engaged in impact investing. Through regular meetings, they learn from expert speakers, work through common challenges, and grow and hone their skills.
Convenings
Our biennial National Forum on Family Philanthropy draws practitioners from across the country for three days of learning and networking.
In alternating years, the Family Philanthropy Leadership Retreat equips principals, board members, and CEOs with the tools they need to build their leadership skills in service of more effective family philanthropy.
Learning and Action Cohorts
Learning and action cohorts are curriculum-based learning opportunities that occur over several months to help cohort members learn about a particular topic and implement the knowledge they have gained.
