Robert H. Hull

Former CEO, Philanthropy Southeast

Robert H. Hull had been head of the Southeastern Council of Foundations, a regional association of grantmakers, for 20 years at the time of his retirement in 1998. During his career, he has also served as a Presbyterian minister in Tallahassee, Florida; a chaplain at Vanderbilt University; and a planning consultant serving clients throughout the South. In 1999, Mr. Hull authored The Trustee Handbook — a publication of the National Center for Family Philanthropy. He earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, and advanced degrees in theology from Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta, and Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. Mr. Hull also spent several years as an employee and student in the Graduate School
