Annie Hurwitz

Director of Donor Engagement and Learning, Greater Houston Community Foundation

Annie serves as Director of Donor Engagement and Learning at the Greater Houston Community Foundation. In this role, she leads the Foundation’s fundholder and client programming strategy, working cross-functionally to deliver impactful philanthropic experiences. Annie advises individuals and families on their giving and oversees Next Gen leadership initiatives through the Foundation’s Center for Family Philanthropy.

Annie is a trained specialist in family dynamics as a member of the 21/64 Advising Network and completed her Donor Advised Fund Professional Certificate with The American College of Financial Services. Before joining the Foundation, she held strategic roles at Sparkfund, a financial technology company, and Vital Voices Global Partnership, a global nonprofit focused on women’s leadership. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a Minor in Asian Studies from Mount Holyoke College.
