Ibrahima Thiam

Executive Director, Wetlands International Africa – Western Coast and Gulf of Guinea

Ibrahima Thiam is the Executive  Director of Wetlands International Africa – Western Coast and Gulf of Guinea based in Dakar (Senegal). He joined Wetlands International in 2008 and expanded operations and partnerships in new countries in Western and Eastern Africa and in new program areas. In this role he worked closely with the MAVA Foundation.  Prior to joining Wetlands International Ibrahima implemented microenterprise developments programs and led Oxfam America’s regional program in West Africa. Ibrahima who is a rural economist, holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School in Boston.
