As a consultant at Wider Sense, Julia Oestreich supports foundations, companies and private individuals in identifying suitable financing instruments in order to solve a specific social challenge. Her focus areas include impact investing, pay-for-success schemes (e.g. social impact bonds) and strategic donations. Julia accompanies customers along the entire financing process – from the identification and due diligence of suitable projects or social enterprises to the actual management of social investments.

Before joining Wider Sense, Julia was the Impact Investment Manager at the Scheuch Foundation, responsible for the selection and management of impact investments and the implementation of incubator programs for social enterprises in the field of nature conservation and education in Austria. As a co-initiator of the Austrian Impact Investors Round Table, she has also created a platform that better connects existing players, promotes more cooperation and wins new players for impact investing.

Julia has a master’s degree from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy in Erfurt. She completed her bachelor’s degree in ethnology and political science at the University of Hamburg.
