Leslie Ramyk is currently the executive director of the Conant Family Foundation, a family foundation focused on racial, environmental, and reproductive justice. CFF has shifted some of its grantmaking to a BIPOC community-led external review team and intends to increase the proportion of funding granted this way in the future. Leslie is a founding member of the Chicago Racial Justice Pooled Fund and facilitates a local Family Foundations & Racial Justice discussion group. Her academic credentials include MA and BA degrees from Northwestern University and educational programs in Ireland and the former Soviet Union.
Leslie has worked in philanthropy in Chicago since 1996 and has participated in the resourcing of immigration, education and healthcare reform. She is a first gen college graduate, a granddaughter of Ukrainian immigrants, and the daughter of a union member. Leslie lives in a historic Chicago Bungalow in West Ridge with her amazing 14-year old twins.
