During this session, we’ll explore how board chairs and CEOs can partner through a transition when one half of that partnership changes. We’ll discuss how to:
- Delineate authority and responsibility
- Manage shifting board dynamics
- Clarify who represents and speaks for the organization (internally and externally)
- Lay the groundwork for an incoming CEO or chair
We’ll hear from Olivia Zale of the M.B. & Edna Zale Foundation about her experience of transitioning into the board chair role, and Katherine Osborne Valdez who is transitioning away from the role at The Powell Foundation.
