Join us for the inaugural session of the Community Trustees Peer Network. This network provides a dedicated space for community trustees to take part in peer-led discussions, exchange insights, and reflect on the shared challenges and opportunities of the role.

Joining a family foundation board as a community trustee offers a meaningful opportunity to inform and educate board members on key issues facing the communities the foundation serves. During this first session, we will spend time reflecting on our “wins” and the positive experience of serving as a community trustee.

You will also hear from peers about what they are most proud of accomplishing and share tips and tools for a successful tenure as a community trustee. Additionally, you will have the option of pairing up with a peer to dive into a deeper discussion on importance of community voice in family philanthropy.

The Community Trustees Peer Network is intended for non-family trustees (community trustees) who actively serve in this capacity with the expressed primary purpose of lifting up community issues/challenges. Programs will be designed to address how to bridge the gap between community and the board. Wealth and legal strategies are not the focus of this peer network space.
