Nonfamily Staff Peer Network: Centering Learning and Finding Your Footing as a New Family Foundation CEO
Available exclusively to nonfamily senior level staff members at family philanthropies. Available only to NCFP Members.
Virtual meeting
Join us for a conversation to discuss the challenges, rewards, and opportunities of being a new CEO at a family philanthropy. Hear useful tips and relevant insights about how to transition to a CEO role in family philanthropy while building trust, centering learning, and thriving in complex situations.
To help frame the conversation, Raphael Family Foundation Executive Director Dr. Anu Gupta will join us to share her experiences as a new CEO—a role which she began in January 2025—and resources and practices that have helped her on her journey. Hear how Anu has led the organization while learning and navigating many new experiences with humility and curiosity, including being new to the family philanthropy sector, working with a family office, learning about the issue areas and geographies that the foundation supports, and working for the first time as a solo staff leader.
If you are a new CEO, come and learn. If you are a seasoned CEO, come and share!
