About the Cohort
This cohort is currently in progress. If you are already deeply engaged in impact investing, consider signing up for the Impact Investing for Advanced Practitioners Peer Network.
Designed for senior leaders and board members, this cohort is for those who understand the core principles of impact investing but need support to deepen their knowledge and put an effective impact investing strategy into practice. This cohort is open to NCFP Members and nonmembers.
What is it?
Beginning with an in-person learning experience and continuing virtually, this multi-session cohort will follow a curriculum designed to prepare you to build and implement your impact investing strategy. Through an application process, we will gauge participants’ interest and experience with impact investing and tailor aspects of the program to meet the needs of the cohort.
Participants will gain the resources, language, and frameworks necessary to guide investment decision-making, collaborate effectively with advisors, and ensure that impact goals are integrated across all assets.
Sessions include:
- Workshops that focus on the practical elements of impact-investing capacity building, including developing a total portfolio approach, designing impact measurement and management (IMM) frameworks, and learning how to engage effectively with outsourced advisors or investment officers.
- Presentations from a range of guest speakers with expertise in strategy development, execution, portfolio management, and IMM.
- Peer networking opportunities to share experiences, gain insights, and learn from other family philanthropy leaders who are navigating similar challenges.
Who’s it for?
If you understand the core principles of impact investing but need help expanding your knowledge and putting it into practice, this program is for you. Cohort participants will be decision-makers, with a strong recommendation that participants are pairs of board members and executives representing their respective philanthropic organizations.
Program Partners
We partnered with Rehana Nathoo, founder and CEO of Spectrum Impact, to develop this cohort’s curriculum and facilitate its sessions.
