Emerging Family Leaders Learning and Action Cohort

About the Cohort

We are accepting applications for this cohort through April 3. Learn more and submit an application here.

Who’s it for?

This cohort provides an opportunity for emerging leaders to learn core knowledge about family philanthropy and each stage of the Family Giving Lifecycle, connect and learn with peers in similar situations, and grow leadership skills. Eligibility for this cohort includes family members who are on a pathway to a governing role or early in their family philanthropy leadership.

What is it?

Beginning with an in-person learning experience and continuing virtually, this multi-session cohort will follow a curriculum designed to prepare and sustain emerging leaders through their family philanthropy leadership journey. Including both virtual and in-person components, new programs will include workshops on NCFP’s Family Giving Lifecycle curriculum, education from experts in the field, and additional time to network with other emerging leaders. Come to learn about topics like refining philanthropic purpose, effective governance, managing conflict, decision-making, and more.

When does it start?

Applications for the cohort are due April 3 and the in-person component begins on May 21. Learn more and apply here.

What if I’m unable to commit to the cohort but want to remain engaged with the network?

If you are an emerging leader and want to engage in virtually programming with peers throughout the year, please join our Emerging Family Leaders Peer Network to be notified about upcoming programs and events.
