Join a community of young family members (ages 21–40) who are early in their governance role or preparing to serve in a governance role within their family philanthropy. This peer-driven network provides a space for collaborative learning, knowledge sharing, and growing leadership skills, which help members navigate the complexities of family dynamics and stewarding resources collectively. Learn and share how you’re navigating the joys and challenges of multigenerational leadership, decision-making, and collaboration.

Through quarterly convenings, participants will engage in deep discussions, case studies, and real-world applications to tackle issues such as:

  • Defining your philanthropic purpose: How can families unite around a common purpose? Members will learn how a clear purpose is the foundation for a successful family philanthropy endeavor and how to navigate differences while staying aligned on your shared goals.
  • Exploring effective governance practices: What does it mean to be an effective steward? Members will learn about good governance principles and how to apply them in their own context.
  • Managing conflict and family dynamics: How do families navigate growth, change, and differences? Members will learn best practices for addressing and moving past conflict.
  • Identifying and implementing impactful strategies and tools: Which social impact tools and approaches are best for your family and how will you measure success? Members will learn about and exchange strategies for impact, including the value of community voices and working collaboratively to achieve impact.

This network is designed exclusively for NCFP members who are family members early in their governance or preparing to serve in a governing role in their family philanthropy.
