Children, Families, and Wealth – How Philanthropy Can Help

While there is often discussion about the role that the younger generation can play in a family’s philanthropy, less often discussed is the role of philanthropy in raising children amidst abundance. Many of the challenges of growing up wealthy can be eased through engaging the next generation in philanthropy. We will discuss these challenges that wealth poses and how philanthropy might help. Our speaker will be National Center Board Member Claire Costello, who is National Foundation Executive, Philanthropy Management for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. She has worked with countless families on involving their younger members in philanthropy. She will be joined by Ariana Snowdon, Trustee of the Hill-Snowdon Foundation and senior at Wesleyan University, and Lana Volftsun, Levmar Family Foundation and a member of Grand Street.
