Emerging Family Leaders Peer Network: Listening to Shift and Share Power with Communities

How can funders listen in a way that surfaces the most effective solutions, co-creates more positive outcomes, and shifts power to the people and communities at the heart of our work? Join Fund for Shared Insight as they help us think broadly and systematically about the kind of listening—authentic, relational, non-extractive, and ongoing—that can put you in direct partnership with the people and communities you seek to serve. Done well, listening — especially to those who have been historically marginalized by structural racism and other systemic inequities— can improve philanthropy and build a more just and equitable society. FSI’s Funder Listening Action Menu features a variety of ways funders are listening to shift power across the many dimensions of their work, and offers resources to start or strengthen your own practices, so you’ll leave with practical guidance on how to start or continue your listening journey.

For this interactive meeting, we encourage attendees to join with webcams on. To help foster candid discussions, peer network events are not recorded.
