Operationalizing Equity Commitments: The Role of the Family Foundation Board—Minneapolis Regional Convening

We invite you to join us and other Minnesota-based family philanthropies on March 28 for a conversation on operationalizing equity in family philanthropy.

Recently, schools and funders, among other institutions, have faced backlash against diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Against this backdrop, family philanthropy has an opportunity—and, arguably, a responsibility—to act on its expressed commitments to equity.

Join us for a conversation with family philanthropies who have embraced equity externally and in their internal governance and operations policies and practices.

Hosted in partnership with the Minnesota Council on Foundations, this event will explore the roles and responsibilities of family foundation boards in achieving equity commitments. Panelists will consider how family philanthropy leaders can set a culture and develop policies that support their staff members and grantees to pursue a more equitable world.

If you are a family funder in the Minneapolis area, we invite you to join us for a conversation and peer connections. Contact Maureen Esposito at Maureen.Esposito@ncfp.org for more information.
