A private foundation is seeking a Grants Program Officer for its grantmaking programs. The Foundation is managed presently by its Founder/Board President and a growing staff team. The Foundation’s grantmaking focuses primarily on education, youth development, and arts and culture, predominantly in the Greater Boston area. There is a strong value on creativity, amplifying the voices of others, and building partnerships with key stakeholders.
The Grants Program Officer will manage all grant awards made by the Directors, in coordination with the founder and deputy director, who award grants quarterly. The Grants Program Officer will work in collaboration with staff and board members on program goals, grant review, and evaluation. The Grants Program Officer would also help research emerging program areas of interest.
This is a full-time, in-office position based in the Foundation’s office in Boston, with occasional local travel when needed. Given the nature of the role, the position is not well-suited for remote work.
