Evlyn Andrade

Evlyn Andrade is a philanthropic advisor who helps individuals, families, and family foundations put their values into action. Her work focuses on developing values-aligned giving strategies, helping family foundations recruit and empower community board members, and supporting funders in adopting trust-based practices that strengthen relationships with the communities they serve.

Evlyn’s approach is shaped by having sat on both sides of the grantmaking relationship. As executive director of EarthCorps, she led an organizational transformation and expanded its community partnerships. Her experience as a nonprofit leader and fundraiser informs how she helps donors connect their resources to community priorities and lasting impact.

Today, Evlyn serves as chief operating officer at Magic Cabinet, a private foundation committed to transforming philanthropy by centering community voice. She also serves on the board of The Russell Family Foundation, which she joined through its first open application process. That experience shapes how she helps families navigate inclusive board recruitment, prepare for shared decision-making, and build the trust needed for meaningful community participation in philanthropy.

The daughter of immigrants, Evlyn believes philanthropy is strongest when those closest to the issues have a meaningful voice in shaping solutions. Evlyn holds the Impact Philanthropy Advisor certification from Daylight Advisors and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
