Newthithing Group was a nonprofit founded by Claude Rosenberg, who made a fortune managing other people’s money and then forged a second career as a proponent of increased charitable giving. He created a web site that enabled users at any income and asset level to calculate how much they might prudently donate.The organization closed in 2005 after Rosenberg became ill with Alzheimer’s disease.
