Join this session to explore how board chairs can effectively lead through complex family and board dynamics and back to a shared sense of purpose.

Successfully engaging your family in any collective endeavor takes intentional work and consideration of family dynamics. For a board chair, fostering strong relationships among board and family members can ensure a solid foundation to draw on when challenges or conflict arise—avoiding the potential for stalled decision-making or loss of focus from impact.

During the session, we will discuss practical strategies for navigating differences among board and family members with an eye toward ensuring that your mission remains the primary driver of the philanthropy’s work.

The final 15 minutes of each board chair peer network meeting will be open peer space for connection, regardless of the topic.

This peer network is available exclusively to NCFP Members. Participants must be the current or incoming board chair of a family foundation. Learn more about joining NCFP here.
