Engaging Youth Peer Network: Getting Started

NCFP’s Engaging Youth Peer Network is co-chaired by Neil Gobioff, Cadence Miller. This group of adult family members, staff, and volunteers gathers several times a year to share resources, tools, and strategies for inspiring and engaging youth in family philanthropy.

Please note this Peer Network is available only to NCFP’s family philanthropy members. Learn more about joining the NCFP network here.

If you’re just getting started on engaging youth (ages 8-21) in your philanthropy, this event is for you.  We will spend time discussing how to get started engaging youth across ages, family sizes, geography and more. Join us to consider questions like: Should our youth engagement start slowly with service projects or values-based activities? Should my family create a formal junior board, individual grants program, or a book program? In addition to young members of our own family, should we engage non-family youth? Feel free to submit specific areas of focus when registering or ages of youth that you are engaging.

If you are unable to attend this event, but are interested in being a part of the Engaging Youth Peer Network, sign up here. For this interactive meeting, we encourage attendees to join with webcams on. To help foster candid discussions, peer network events are not recorded.
