Why did Sam and Nancy Gary, founders of Gary Community Ventures, decide that the organization did not need to exist in perpetuity?

Join us for a conversation with president and CEO, Santhosh Ramdoss, to explore:

  • Why they are transferring all resources to the community by 2035.
  • How they are using their impermanence to create long-lasting impact for Colorado’s children and families.
  • How they view their role not as “spending down” but as “building up”—ensuring every dollar invested and grant awarded drives permanent systems and policy change.

For those who would like to participate, we will have an additional 15 minutes of networking time at the end of the program.

This peer network is open only to staff members, board members, and family members at family foundations who are spending down or considering spending down; philanthropic advisors who are currently staffing a family foundation that is spending down or considering spending down; or alumni (staff, board, or family members) of a spend-down foundation.

You must be a member of the NCFP network to join. Learn more about joining the network here.
