The Courage to Lead in Family Philanthropy: A special pre-forum retreat for board members and CEOs
Hosted by the National Center for Family Philanthropy in partnership with the Center for Courage & Renewal, this retreat will take place immediately prior to the 2015 National Forum on Family Philanthropy at the Grand Hyatt in Seattle, WA.
Led by Tom Beech, President Emeritus, Fetzer Institute and Cindy Johnson, Founder, Courage & Renewal – North Texas, both with experience in family philanthropy and facilitation of Courage and Renewal Retreats.
Board members, CEOs, and other leadership staff for family foundations and family offices.
This special retreat is an opportunity for participants to explore fundamental questions of leadership, impact, sustainability and self-care. It is based on the work of Parker Palmer, noted author and co-founder of the Center for Courage & Renewal, offering time for small group dialogue and reflection in a safe, trustworthy space. The retreat will focus on the alignment of our personal values with our professional choices. Operating from a place of personal integrity and authenticity helps us find the courage to face challenges and competing demands and make the difficult decisions we encounter every day. Increasing self- awareness and developing new skills helps us creatively hold the tensions we experience between the world as it is and the world we would like to see.
To confirm your space in this retreat, please register now. We are grateful to the Center for Courage & Renewal for their cooperation and support in adapting their retreat for our audience.
