Donna M. Coury

Director, Center for Family Philanthropy, Akron Community Foundation

Donna M. Coury leads the community foundation’s Center for Family Philanthropy at the Akron Community Foundation, a resource for charitable families in Summit and Medina counties. She is a trusted advisor to our community’s philanthropic families, helping them maximize their personal charitable goals and create a legacy consistent with their mission and family values.

Donna has an extensive background in community service, litigation and fundraising. Most recently, she was the president and founder of Development Management Consultants, a fundraising, development and public relations firm. Prior to forming DMC, Donna served as an assistant Cuyahoga County prosecutor. She has collaborated with numerous outreach programs designed to help victims of crime and domestic violence and to deter young adults from entering a life of crime. Donna earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta, a Master of Science degree from New York University, and a Juris Doctor, Magna cum Laude degree from Cleveland Marshall College of Law.
