Frances P. Sykes

President, Pascale Sykes Foundation

Frances P. Sykes was originally an educator, teaching a variety of subjects in elementary and middle schools throughout the northeast US. For the past thirty years, she has had a varied career. She has managed a privately owned airport, established a small business, managed financial investments and administered residential and agricultural properties. In addition to her current work with financial investments, residential and farm properties, she is full time president of Pascale Sykes Foundation.

Under Mrs. Sykes’ leadership, the Pascale Sykes Foundation has developed and refined the Whole Family Approach based on whole people within families with adults in charge, long range behavior changes, interagency collaboration and building social capital. The Foundation focuses its efforts on working low-income families.

Mrs. Sykes is a former trustee of Hartwick College, Oneonta, NY, serving on the financial and institutional advancement committees and also as board secretary. In appreciation for her years of service, Hartwick College awarded Mrs. Sykes an honorary Doctor of Letters.

Under her leadership, the Pascale Sykes Foundation has received awards from the following organizations: Nonprofit Development Center of Southern New Jersey, First Baptist CDC (now Central Jersey CDC), Parents Anonymous of NJ/Father Time, Mental Health Association of Monmouth County, The Choice is Yours, Inc., Tri County Economic Development Summit, Kitchen of Hope, Salem County Board of Chosen Freeholders, PlanSmart New Jersey and WheatonArts.

Mrs. Sykes received a BA from Smith College, Northampton, MA and an MA from University of Pittsburgh. She was married to Donald (Skip) Sykes for over fifty years and has three grown children and seven grandchildren.
