Sarah Slobodien Dovere

Senior Director, Advancement

Sarah Slobodien Dovere is the Senior Director of Advancement at NCFP. For more than 20 years she has partnered with mission driven organizations to increase their impact. For more than a decade, she has held leadership positions in nationally recognized innovative nonprofits. Most recently, Sarah served as the Vice President, External Affairs at Youth Invest Partners (formerly Venture Philanthropy Partners), where she oversaw investor relations and communications, creating strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders and ensuring alignment and execution of the communications strategy across the organization.

Previously, Sarah was the Director of Organizational Advancement at Woolly Mammoth Theatre, where she oversaw the donor engagement strategy, risk capital and building campaigns and leadership transitions, including a founding artistic director transition.

Sarah began her career in political fundraising, working for candidates running for local, city, state and federal office. She then returned to her Alma Mater, Barnard College, to join the Annual Fund office where, in addition to raising funds from alumnae, she worked with students to start them on their philanthropic journeys through Student Giving Days and Senior Fund activities.

Sarah received BAs from Barnard College and the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, and an MPA from Johns Hopkins University. She resides in Washington, DC with her family.
