Chief People Officer, The Sobrato Organization

Tamara Lewis serves as Chief People Officer of The Sobrato Organization (TSO). In her role, Tamara leads TSO’s people, operations, and communications functions (including Real Estate and Development, Sobrato Capital, and Sobrato Philanthropies) and provides overall leadership and accountability across the entire suite of people functions. This includes culture, organizational development, talent management, diversity, equity, and inclusion, people operations, total rewards, recruitment, and employee relations.

Tamara has held senior leadership roles with both national and global organizations in her 20-plus years in human resources. She joins TSO from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, where she oversaw efforts to create an inspiring and engaging atmosphere for its employees, focusing on establishing the strategic framework for the organization’s DEI initiative.  Before her work with the Hilton Foundation, Tamara directed global human resources and talent management for CARE USA, the international relief organization based in Atlanta. At CARE, Tamara oversaw the organization’s long-term vision, strategy, and operational initiatives in global compensation, employee relations, recruitment, leadership development, succession planning, and DEI.
