Dorothy Gardner

Managing Trustee, The Longbrake Family Foundation

Dorothy Gardner is the Managing Trustee of The Longbrake Family Foundation (TLFF). Her journey in philanthropy started at age four when she asked for an additional quarter in allowance each week to put in the children’s offering at church. From there it evolved to helping with the family’s annual December donations and eventually a startup of a family foundation. After 15 years as the Executive Director, Dorothy recently transitioned to her new role as Managing Trustee where she oversees the board, the next gen program and development of a new leadership development program the organization is looking to launch in 2022.  When not immersed in the philanthropic world she is kept busy trying to teach her 2 and 4 year old girls to be more charitable with each other.
