With roots in South Carolina, The Milliken family is working to redistribute their inherited resources to Black and Indigenous communities with the goal of building power across the US South. As trustees of The Ananda Fund, Roger, Margot, Tara, and Max Milliken have committed as a family to reparative giving for the benefit of past, present and future generations—both within their family and beyond. To date, The Ananda Fund has distributed $9 million to BIPOC communities since beginning their reparative journey in 2020.
