Huong Nguyen-Yap joined AAPIP in 2014 as the Community Philanthropy Manager and is working with the National Giving Circle Network to increase awareness and investment in the AAPI community. Prior to joining AAPIP, Huong worked in community mental health and substance abuse treatment for youth and adults and has extensive work experience in the field of Positive Youth Development. She provided training and technical assistance to nonprofit and government agencies committed to including youth on their boards.Huong received her MSW from San Jose State University and her BA in Asian American Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
