Thank you for your important coronavirus response work. In addition to helping people during this difficult time, you are inspiring others in the social sector.

How to share your data

Candid has been tracking the philanthropic response to coronavirus, and NCFP is working with them to ask for your help in tracking grantmaking data. As you make grants, would you please share that information with us?

Export the information from your grants management program into Excel using instructions found on Candid’s software partners  page.

Email your spreadsheet to egrants@candid.org  OR  share it through Updater.

Where your data will appear

The information you share will contribute to insights about philanthropy’s response to coronavirus, and will also appear directly in several places:

Candid’s  coronavirus pop-up webpage, including possible inclusion in a forthcoming “featured grants” section

The  Measuring the State of Disaster Philanthropy landscape

Foundation Directory Online (FDO).  Although a subscription service, FDO is freely available at Candid’s more than 400 Funding Information Network partners.

Research reports, factoids, articles, and other outlets for sharing insights

Although this is specifically about grants related to COVID-19, Candid is always happy to receive complete information on your current grantmaking throughout the year. There are many stories to tell about each one of your giving portfolios!

To say thank you, Candid will provide your organization with a complimentary map displaying your own grants data to be used internally or externally on your website. This map will be available by request to egrants@candid.org, 2-3 weeks after receipt of data.

Thank you again for your leadership during the pandemic and for helping us accurately share the extent of the sector’s response to it.
