Ten Ways Philanthropic Families Work with Community Foundations

[NOTE: Due to technical difficulties during the webinar, there is a short period of silence from 16:23 to 16:53 in the replay. Our sincere apologies!]

This special webinar as we count and describe the many ways that philanthropic families work with the more than 800 community foundations spread across North America. From partnering for impact to serving as a training ground for younger family members, community foundations and families have been partners since the very first community foundations were founded just over a century ago. This webinar provides reminders, tips, and peer advice for families, donors, and community foundation staff along with the stories of how two donor families have made the most of their long-time relationship with their local community foundation.

Terrific to hear best practices and success stories from other community foundations.  We are small; but the discussion helped reassure us that we are on the right track.

As a community foundation considering building our family philanthropy program, we found this webinar very helpful. It offered insight from both the family and community foundation perspectives and practical resources for moving a program forward. Thank you!

The family webinar series is a great tool for learning from peers and also from high-impact donors. The facilitation of the webinar as well as the quality of the speakers makes it well worth my time to take an hour and a half out of my daily work schedule to listen, learn and interact. I look forward to more.

Jennifer Touchet, Donor Engagement Director, Greater Houston Community Foundation
