Sam Vinal

President, The Radical Imagination Family Foundation

Sam Vinal grew up south of Boston on occupied Wampanoag Land. He currently directs documentaries and produces fictional films, making films in partnership with social movements. He uses the transformational medium of film for the beautiful struggle of social change. Sam also keeps five to seven toes in the world of philanthropy, organizing family and peers to move more resources in right relationship to grassroots movements fighting for their self-determination and our collective liberation. Sam is the president of The Radical Imagination Family Foundation, a board member of Grassroots International and The Solidaire Network. Sam loves his cactus gardens, planted in borrowed shopping carts and spending time with the coyotes on the Los Angeles hills.
