Managing Director, Marketing and Business Development, Schwab Charitable

Fred is Managing Director, Marketing and Business Development of Schwab Charitable, and is responsible for engaging and building relationships with donors, financial advisors and charities in order to help increase the impact and efficiency of giving in the United States. He has also led an innovative marketing, communications, and partnerships strategy that has established Schwab Charitable as a leader in the non-profit sector. Since Mr. Kaynor joined Schwab Charitable, annual grants have grown from less than $1 billion to more than $3 billion in Fiscal Year 2020. Fred brings over 20 years of financial services experience after holding senior-level positions at MasterCard Worldwide and Visa. Fred is actively involved in volunteer work, including past board service with Children’s Council of San Francisco and the United Way of the Bay Area’s Marketing Advisory Council, as well as various leadership roles with his local parish. He is a graduate of Boston College and a former Coro Foundation Public Affairs Leadership fellow.
