Duncan McLaren

Youth Leadership Team member, Greater Houston Community Foundation

Duncan McLaren is a junior at St. John’s School, where he is a three-sport student athlete. Duncan has been an active member of the Youth Leadership Team for four years and is very involved in his community. During his time with the Youth Leadership Team, Duncan has helped to lead several site visits with local nonprofits and is well versed in how to evaluate organizations. The GHCF Youth Leadership Team has expanded Duncan’s exposure to topics rarely discussed in the classroom, highlighting  broader societal needs in areas like animal welfare and eldercare issues. In addition to having an interest in philanthropy, Duncan is also an Eagle Scout. Duncan and his mother Tevia are both active in the Family Giving Circle.
