What is the biggest trend in the field of family philanthropy?

Family foundations are focusing their giving on specific issues rather than communities. In the past, charitable giving has been motivated by a desire to give back to the philanthropist's community, but that is shifting with newer foundations.

What did you do before NCFP?

After graduating from Arcadia University, I focused my work experience in the nonprofit sector in Washington, DC. I interned at Search for Common Ground, assisting with the organization of outreach and fundraising events; and at Pan American Development Foundation, as a Finance and Grants Assistant. In 2016, I worked at Ashoka in Dublin as a Creative Intern, building their social media presence and advancing their communications needs.

What do you like most about your job?

I get to work across all departments and learn more about the stellar work each individual is doing at NCFP!
